Price Chopper recalls streusel pies | News
Price Chopper Supermarkets is issuing a voluntary recall on a few of its pies.
The pies being recalled are the Price Chopper Bakery five and eight inch apple, blueberry, cherry and peach streusel pies.
They are being recalled because of the streusel topping containing eggs which is not listed in the ingredient label. Other than the label issue, the pies are safe to eat for those not allergic to eggs.
Price Chopper used its Smart Reply notification program to alert households that may have purchased the pies. The program uses purchase data and consumer phone numbers on file in connection with the company’s AdvantEdge card.
Customers can return the pies to any local Price Chopper store for a full refund. Click here for more information or call 1-800-666-7667 option 3. Phones are open 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
